In-House Request

Borrow Books & Media

  • To ensure the safety of our community the stacks are closed and books and media must be requested.
  • Request items at the link above or at the Bridge.  You will be notified by email when the item is ready to be picked up at the Circulation Desk.

Library Cards

The barcode on your Cedar Crest College ID card becomes your library borrower card. You can get a photo ID at Tompkins Center.

Return Books

Return all library books and DVDs at our outdoor bookdrop.

Types of Borrowing

Students

  • Students may borrow books for 21 days followed by a 10-day grace period. 

Faculty/Staff

  • Faculty/staff have a 182-day lending period for books.

Alumni

  • Alumni have lifetime borrowing privileges. Books may be borrowed for 21 days with no renewal.
  • A Driver's license, or other photo ID, is necessary to obtain a library card.
  • Fines accrue at the rate of $.05 each day following a 10-day grace period until reaching a $5.00 maximum fine. 

LVAIC

  • Books may be borrowed for 21 days with no renewal.
  • Current college ID is required in order to obtain a library card.

Town

  • Members of the community may obtain a library card at the cost of $45.00 per year.

  • A driver's license, or other photo ID, is necessary to obtain a library card. 

Restrictions

  • Reference books, CD-ROMs, and microforms are restricted to use within the library and may circulate only by special permission.

  • Non-current issues of periodicals circulate seven days to faculty.
