Historical Biographies

Many biographies are shelved with the history books (900s, lowest level), but often they are shelved according to the field most associated with their subject. The biographies of scientists like Emmy Noether and Rosalind Franklin, for instance, are in the 500s (Science). Writers like William Shakespeare or Maya Angelou are found in the 800s (Literature). Below are listed a sampling of biographies from the collection, both physical and digital, grouped according to the individual's field.
