Interlibrary Loan

  • Books borrowed from other libraries through Interlibrary Loan are usually loaned for a one month period. 
  • Renewals are sometimes granted but need to be granted by the lending library.
  • We will not request textbooks from other libraries through Interlibrary Loan.

Interlibrary Loan

  • Articles requested from other libraries through Interlibrary Loan are usually delivered as a PDF email attachment from library@cedarcrest.edu.

To request an Interlibrary Loan

To request an Interlibrary Loan (ILL)

1. Try searching Google Scholar before requesting an ILL.

2. To request an ILL, search WorldCat Discovery, the Library Catalog.

a. Find the record for the book or article.

b. Look for the blue button to "Request Item through Interlibrary Loan"

3. If the record is not found in WorldCat Discovery, the Library Catalog, then either:

a. WorldCat Discovery A-to-Z (incl. the date, volume and issue)

b. Book request or 

c. Journal Article request
