American Medical Association (AMA) Style Citation

Why AMA format?

AMA format is most commonly used for article submissions to medical journals. The nature of reporting and citation is dependent upon the purpose and format of communicating information. Citation preferences also vary depending on an audience of other medical and scientific research or for public health purposes. In the medical field, clarity and precision of reporting findings is most important.
